Carbon Cover Motorcycle Insurance's founding member started his insurance career in 1997 with the leading direct insurer in SA who pioneered telephonic insurance at that time.
In 2005, he established the first-ever Motorcycle Insurer Specialist Underwriting Management company called Apex Underwriting Managers – the only dedicated specialist motorcycle insurance underwriting company in SA. Apex only insured motorcycles with specialist expertise and pioneered innovative products such as track day participation cover and learner's licence rider acceptance – before that, no insurer would insure a superbike for track day participation.
Today, most companies have copied their product offerings. Carbon Cover Motorcycle Insurance remains innovative in specialist motorcycle insurance. Carbon Cover Motorcycle Insurance was established in 2018 and has quickly grown into a leading motorcycle insurance name in South Africa.
